Our Story
From late-night prototypes to our first commercial release.
Pixel Gaunt Studios started as a one-person passion project — building small browser games to learn the craft, one genre at a time. Over the past year we shipped more than a dozen free prototypes covering everything from platformers to 3D shooters, using each one to sharpen our game feel, physics, and polish. Girl The Driller is where all of that practice comes together: our first game built and released as a real, standalone commercial title.

Pixel Gaunt Studios is an independent game development studio. It started as a solo project — learning game development from scratch by building small HTML5 browser games one at a time — and has since grown into a real body of work, including our debut commercial release, Girl The Driller.
Along the way we've shipped more than a dozen free prototypes across genres — fighting, puzzle, racing, 3D shooting, and more — each one teaching us something new about game feel, physics, and polish.
Every game is built with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Three.js/WebGL, and designed to run straight from the browser on PC, Android, iOS, Mac, and Linux — no installs, no downloads.
Pixel Gaunt stays small and independent on purpose. We'd rather ship fewer games and make them good than chase volume, and there's always something new in the works.
Got feedback on Girl The Driller, spotted a bug, or have a question about one of our prototypes? We read everything that comes in — it's what shapes what we fix and build next.
You can also report a bug directly from inside a game while signed in, using the Report Bug button on the game screen.

Q: Are the games free to play? A: Yes, all games on Pixel Gaunt are 100% free to play directly in your browser.
Q: Do I need to download anything? A: No downloads are required. Just click and play!
Q: Can I play on my phone? A: Absolutely! Our games are fully optimized for mobile devices (Android & iOS) as well as PC, Mac, and Linux.
Privacy Policy
This explains what data Pixel Gaunt Studios collects and how it's used. We keep this as limited as possible, and you never need an account to play any game.
Signing in: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo, and store this in our database (Firebase) to identify your account — for example, so likes and bug reports can be linked to you.
Likes & bug reports: When you like a game or submit a bug report while signed in, that action (game title, report text, and timestamp) is saved to our database so we can track feedback and fix issues.
Analytics: We use Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics to understand overall site traffic and which games are played most. This data is aggregated and isn't tied to your identity.
Advertising: This site uses Google AdSense, which may use cookies to serve ads. Google's own privacy policy governs how that data is handled.
Local storage: To rank games by popularity, play counts are saved in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.
What we don't do: We don't sell your data, and we don't collect personal information beyond what's described above.
