Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Pixel Gaunt Studios ("PixelGaunt", "we", "us") collects when you use pixelgaunt.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection as limited as we can, and you never need an account to play our free games.
1. Information you give us
- Signing in. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo. They are stored in our database (Google Firebase) so we can identify your account, for example to link likes, bug reports, your wallet and your subscription to you.
- Likes, bug reports and feedback. When you like a game or send a bug report while signed in, we save that action (game title, your text and the time) so we can track feedback and fix problems.
- Publishing and creator tools. If you publish a game, join or create a tournament or save a creator request, we store what you submit (game files, title, cover image, display name, scores and request details). Published games and tournament leaderboards are shown publicly. Creator requests are visible only to you and us.
- Payments and orders. PixelGaunt does not run an online card gateway. If you pay for a subscription, a paid tournament entry, coins or merchandise, you send us a receipt (sender name, transaction ID, a message and a screenshot of your payment). We store it only to check and confirm your payment and to keep our accounting records. Merchandise orders also include the delivery details you enter.
- Messages. If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can answer you.
2. Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics to understand overall traffic and which games are played most. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you.
- Local storage. Your browser stores small items on your own device, such as game progress, settings, play counts, your wishlist and a remembered login. These stay on your device and are not sent to advertisers.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data such as IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
3. Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense)
PixelGaunt is free because it shows advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to this website and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to PixelGaunt and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
- To learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), you will be asked for your consent choices for advertising in a consent message.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Some features, such as staying signed in, may stop working if you do.
4. How we use information
- To run the site, let you play, sign in and save your progress.
- To confirm payments, activate plans and deliver orders.
- To review and publish community games and run tournaments.
- To fix bugs, keep the site safe and prevent abuse or fraud.
- To understand which games people enjoy so we can improve PixelGaunt.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that run PixelGaunt (Google Firebase and Google Analytics, Cloudflare, Google AdSense for advertising) and when the law requires it. Your display name and scores may appear publicly where you take part in leaderboards, tournaments or published games.
6. Keeping and deleting your data
We keep account data while your account exists and payment records for as long as we need them for accounting. To see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, email [email protected] from your account email address and we will help.
7. Children
PixelGaunt is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Your account is protected by Google sign-in and our data is stored with Google Firebase. No method of transfer or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
